I’m Galina Petrova — a journalist, artist, and creative professional working across television, fashion, and brand storytelling.
My career bridges disciplines: I report global news for international media, appear on camera as a model and commercial actor, host live events, and develop creative concepts that blend aesthetics with communication.
At my core, I’m a storyteller — whether through words, visuals, or live performance.
From political reporting to editorial campaigns, every project I take on has the same goal: to connect people through emotion, vision, and truth.
Everything I do lives in one of four spaces: On Set, On Air, On Stage, and On Screen
My work in front of the camera began with modeling and editorial projects that evolved into national campaigns, fashion features, and commercial acting.
I’ve collaborated with global and national brands including L’Oréal, Pandora, Ecru, Serra, Xfinity, and Ducati, appearing across digital, social, and print campaigns, as well as billboards throughout Chicago and nationwide.
Being on set taught me how collaboration, light, and creative vision come together to tell a story — whether in a photo frame or on film.
I’m always looking for the next exciting project that challenges me creatively and brings that same storytelling energy to new collaborations.
I began my journey in journalism at Varna Free University, where I studied Journalism and Public Relations and hosted my first radio program on the university’s station, later working for Radio BRAVO.
After moving to the United States to study Political Science, I joined the founding team of BG VOICE, one of the leading Bulgarian newspapers abroad, contributing to its first decade and helping shape its voice within the Bulgarian-American community.
My television career took off with BiTelevision — the first Bulgarian TV network created for audiences abroad — where I anchored the first-ever late-night newscast.
Today, I serve as the U.S. correspondent for NOVA TV, one of Bulgaria’s leading national networks. I’ve covered major political and cultural events across the United States, including the 2016, 2020, and 2024 U.S. presidential elections, two presidential inaugurations, and multiple international and diplomatic summits.
Through in-depth reporting and bilingual storytelling, I aim to bridge perspectives — bringing the American story closer to Bulgarian and international audiences.
From business forums to cultural galas, I’ve had the privilege of taking the stage as a host, moderator, and master of ceremonies at a wide range of events — from Bulgarian festivals and community celebrations to Chicago’s international showcases and business gatherings.
Each appearance is an opportunity to bring people together through dialogue, art, and celebration.
When I’m on stage, I focus on energy, clarity, and connection — keeping the spotlight not on myself, but on the story and the audience.
I’m always open to new projects where my experience and presence can help create meaningful, engaging events.
Last but not least, I continue to pursue my passion for acting — appearing in commercials, short films, and branded projects. My on-screen work has included national and regional campaigns streamed on Hulu, local U.S. television channels, and digital platforms, allowing me to collaborate with diverse production teams and creative agencies.
In addition to performing, I work with brands and businesses to strengthen their presence on camera — from consulting on on-screen behavior, confidence, and appearance to overseeing full video productions from concept to final edit.
Whether I’m in front of the lens or behind the creative process, being on screen allows me to explore the emotional side of storytelling and help others communicate their message with authenticity and impact.
